St. Theresa School which is situated in Terengganu was my
kindergarten school. I like this school so much for I had had
so much fun and enjoyment while throughout my "study"
there. I can still remember that at that time, I was only 5 years
old. I was still immature and simple minded then! I had nothing
to worry about, but enjoy my simple yet happy life. The teachers
there are all nuns because this is a Catholic kindergarten school.
I was an active person since I was young. I got engaged in sports
and almost all the activities organized by the school, including
dances which has always been my favorite. I would never forget
my St. Theresa kindergarten for I really enjoyed my pre-school
My primary school was the Chung Hwa Wei Sin Primary School,
situated about 3 km away from my house in Terengganu. I attended
the school when I was 7 years old and left this school when I
was 12 years old. I like this school although it is quite a small
school. It was there that I first got to know most of my friends
at present. In this school too, I was actively involved in sports.
I played long jump, high jump, 100-meter sprint and other sports
activities as well. I think that is the reason why I have darker
skin compared to most of my chinese friends. Because my attention
was mostly focused on sports, I didn't study very hard and only
managed to obtain 2 As for my UPSR.
At the age of 13, I continued my study in Chung Hwa Wei Sin
Secondary School which is located quite near to my previous Chung
Hwa Wei Sin Primary School. Even though the teachers there are
all well-qualified and highly-experienced, I don't really like
this school because it regulates very strict ruleson its students.
We were even not allowed to wear golden-colored wristwatch. Female
students are not allowed to use hair band other than black color
while the boys are not allowed to wear belt with metal head.
In Wei Sin Secondary School, I was no longer active in sports.
This is because I began to concentrate on my academic after realizing
the importance of good education. As a consequence, there was
a tremendous improvement in my academic performance. I managed
to obtain 6 As in my PMR examination.
At the age of 17, I left Wei Sin Secondary and further continued
my study at Teknik Secondary School. It is about 17 km away
from my house. So far this is the school I like most. The teachers
there are all very good and know how to teach very well. I like
almost each and every one of them for they really treat me well.
I definitely enjoyed my school life there. I met many malay friends
there. They have taught me much of the malay traditional culture.
That is why now I understand Malay people quite well. At Teknik,
I have been regarded as a good student too, for I not only did
well in my study but also was active in sports. Yes, I involved
myself in sports again at Teknik. Moreover, I had represented
my school in MSST (Majlis Sukan Sekolah Terengganu) sports carnival.
Earlier, many of my friends in my old school (Chung Hwa Wei Sin)
had discouraged me when I first decided to go to Teknik, because
they were afraid that I might not be able to get used to the
new surrounding there. Anyhow, I really did not regret studying
in Teknik for I have had a very memorable experience there. Moreover,
I have got the result that I am satisfied with -- 9 aggregate
for my SPM examination.
